Sherlock/Hemlock Plugin
If you have Newton with internet connectivity, you should look at Hemlock, multiple internet search-engine utility using Sherlock plugins. Then you might want to find useful following plugins created to search the UNNA Newton software archive and NewtonTalk mailing list.
Neither plugin supports relevance rating so the results order is unreliable. It's not because i'm lazy to implement the functionality but the used search engines lack such a feaure.
UNNA
www.unna.org is an archive combining applications, utilities and other Newton-related items from many places all over the internet but unlike others is still actively updated and supported. Sherlock plugin uses Google to search on this domain. Returned results are mainly bits of documentations or changelog files so it could be useful for quick search for particular software or functionality.
NewtonTalk
mailing list about everything concerning Newton. Also about many totaly unrelated things too. The list has a pretty hih traffic so if you have no time to sort through 100 messages a day, you will find this plugin useful. It searches inlist archive pages.
Download and installation
Just enter above URLs to Hemlock and the search plugins wil be imported.
Sherlock installation is straightforward, download the files and drop them to desired Sherlock channel.
