Packager 2.5
Free Mac OS X utility to set correct file type and creator for Newton package files. By default, any file with ".pkg" extension is associated with Mac OS X native installer. Now simply drop files or folders on Packager to associate all Newton packages with an application of your choice. You can choose the desired handler application in Packager preferences. Packager works both as a stand-alone application or as a droplet.
Besides the Newton Connection Utilities (Classic and NCX), Packager supports Escale (default) & Delivery, utilities for package installation on Mac OS X. Packages are optionally being handled by the file extension or by quick file content scan. A setting to disable the “Open file” dialog upon manual launch was added. Version 2.5 also contains a support for Growl notifications (with suppressed detailed reporting for folder manipulations to spare you too much of on-screen information).
Watched folder feature allows you to select folder of your choice that will be inspected automatically upon every Packager launch (select your download or Newton archive folder and just run Packager when needed).

Installation
After download, drag Packager from mounted disk image to your Applications folder or wherever you’d like. If you are upgrading just replace the previous version.
